We were excited to host our first mission team of 2012. There were 20 members on the team and they were from Philadelphia, PA and Concord, NC. They were a great team of focused surrendered servants and we were able to accomplish much during the week. We have made new friends that love and live for Jesus.
The team brought clothing that we were able to take to the village at Delirio and pass out to families.
We were able to worship on Sunday with the people at the village of San Antonio. The team really enjoyed the worship and interaction.
Despite significant rain we were able to dig and prep the site for the new school at Delirio and complete construction of the windows and painting the outside of the school at San Antonio.
The team enjoyed their visit to the Drug Treatment Center. Two members shared their testimonies and the whole team loved worshiping together with everyone. No one in the center was an observer!!! God received the glory he deserved that night.
We took the team to the Garbage Dump where hundreds of people live and search for anything they can find to provide food and support. We were able to pass out clothing to about 60 people. This visit was a reminder of the difficult conditions here in Matagalpa.
We made many new friends during the week and they blessed the team as much as the team blessed them. I know none of our new friends will ever be the same!!! God is reaching out through His children to add more to the family. We are looking for more friends to join us on the wonderful adventure. Join us for a week in Matagalpa--I promise your life will never be the same!!!
